Mr Jackson-Taylor, Avonwood Deputy Headteacher, has played a key role in leading the Jurassic Maths Hub since 2017, when he visited Shanghai as part of the DfE’s England-China Mathematics Teacher Exchange Project.
Through his role with this hub, Avonwood has lead and hosted a number of local events supporting the professional development of maths teachers across the county.
Mathmatics continues to be an area of excellence at Avonwood. We are delighted to host visits from other schools and support with outreach work in the local area.
Through Joe Jackson-Taylor's leadership and professional connections,, bringing together subject specialists and leaders to share expertise and drive professional learning. As an accredited Professional Development Lead’ for National Centre for the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics, Joe Jackson-Taylor works alongside lecturer Claire Morse and Jurassic Maths Hub TfM Specialist Louise Gadd to help enhance mathematics outcomes in the local area.
