Wellbeing

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) education is a school subject through which pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe. During this time, it is vital for you as a family to consider your own well-being both physically and mentally. We will continue to promote resources to help you do this, such as staying active with Joe Wicks, yoga with cosmic kids, meditative resources and of course valuable family time.

PSHE learning is essential to personal development, behaviour, welfare and safeguarding. To assist with this, we use a whole-school approach and scheme of learning called ‘Jigsaw’. Jigsaw has provided some at home resources to support you during your home-learning surrounding their topics of ‘Dreams and Goals’ and ‘Healthy Me’. The children will be used to this way of learning and may provide some normality and support to their wellbeing at this time of uncertainty. Please feel free to use these free activities and keep an eye out for any more resources to support you and your family’s wellness.

So far this has included; lots of baking, reading, gardening (and planting some delicious vegetables), daily exercise in the variety of walking, scooting, skipping and cycling and lots more! Please keep sending us your super ideas

It is important children can talk about their concerns and do not bottle up their fears as they see change and worry around them, so don’t pretend nothing is happening:
