Breakfast and After School Club

At Avonwood we recognise that many of our working families require the added flexibility of dropping their children to school early or having them stay with us a bit later. In September 2023 we launched a new and improved, school run wrap around care service called 'Avonwood+'. The aim of this club is to provide the same excellent level of service that you have come to expect during the school day, but continued into these extended hours.

Our Avonwood+ provision is managed by three of our most experienced and trusted members of staff - Mrs Preece, Mrs Hayes & Miss Dennett. We over staff this club beyond expected ratios to make sure children are provided with the level of care and support needed when attending a longer school day.

Breakfast Club

Manager: Miss Dennett

Times: 7:30am to 8:40am

Price: £5.75

Number of daily spaces: 55, with a maximum of 8 four year olds.

Activites: All children will be provided with a healthy and filling morning breakfast including items such as cereal, toast and fruit. They will then spend time supported in child led and adult led activities such as arts and crafts.

After School Club

Manager(s): Mrs Preece & Mrs Hayes

Times: 15:05 to 17:45, with early pick up or later start options available.

Price: Ranges from £9.90 to £13.50 depending on length of session

Number of daily spaces: 55, with a maximum of 8 four year olds.

Activities: All children will be provided with a healthy after school snack including items such as sandwiches, wraps, muffins and fruit. They will then spend time supported in child led and adult led activities such as arts and crafts or playing sports. We have a calendar of themed weeks so that children always have something new to look forward to. If parents wish, our staff are well trained to support children attending this club with any homework activities too.
